Art Print Notes:

I spent a good deal of my first visit to Boston on or near the water. Judging by the number of boats I saw in general, I’m guessing that’s not too unusual. Perhaps the norm for a city founded on a natural harbor? And it was on my first time on the water on Boston Harbor that I saw the beautiful view you see here in this Boston skyline print! The city rising out of the waters of Boston Harbor alone would be beautiful. As luck would have it, I had phenomenal skies to include! Isn’t it amazing how much drama a few clouds can add to a picture? This print of the Boston skyline wouldn’t be nearly as popular I’m sure if the skies were a uniform blue.

I have to say that I really love Boston’s skyline. From what I’ve seen, there seems to be a lot of diversity to those skyscrapers. There are an array of architectural styles, both new and old. In Boston’s long history as a port city, plenty of boats must have passed through these same waters, but I bet those early citizens and visitors to Boston never imagined a dense urban city like this thriving here one day. What do you imagine they would they think of the Boston Skyline today?

Considering I was only in Boston a short time I was so fortunate to have such beautiful weather for this memorable view of that beautiful skyline from the water. Without the right skies and light, there wouldn’t be nearly so much character and depth to this print. It’s definitely what sets this print apart from so many and has made this one of my more popular Boston prints.
