Art Print Notes:

This Bible verse art was the result of a request for an art print featuring this particular psalm which I thought contained a lovely carpe diem message.

The Bible verse this customer wanted depicted for this Christian art print was Psalm 118:24

This is the day which the Lord hath made;

Rejoice and be glad in it.

I can’t provide a completely solid reason why I chose fishing at sunrise for this particular piece of Bible verse art. Perhaps it’s simply down to the fact that more often than not, I encounter people fishing at daybreak. There aren’t so many of us out there enjoying the sunrise, but the constants are the people with fishing rods! And to me, this Bible verse is all about embracing the day and living it to its fullest. Sleeping late can be heavenly too, but there’s a lot to be said for getting up and out of the house and making the most of each day we have on our earth.

I think that subconsciously may have been why I chose this scene to reflect the message in this Bible verse art. It was the first thought I had upon reading the request so whatever the thought process was, it was a gut level reaction. In other words, it just felt right for the message for Psalm 118:24.

I love when I get requests. They aren’t always turned around quickly but sometimes they strike a chord with me. At the time I received the request for this Bible verse art, my father’s death was still very fresh on my mind and the idea of being thankful for each day we are blessed with resonated with me more than usual. It’s now been more than a year since we lost him, and the message still rings true and makes this particular Psalm a very special one in my opinion.

In what way does this message ring true to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts about this Bible verse art and I’m always happy for your suggestion of another you’d like for yourself. If you don’t want to leave your request in the comments, you can always contact me with your details.
