Description
Taken from the top of an open air bus in New York City on my first trip there. They are not kidding when they warn you not to stand up. This light pole was directly over our bus while we were parked at a traffic signal. But it gave me prime real estate to capture an angle that would not have been possible from the ground.
The birds almost felt like a microcosm of the people of New York City, all in different poses, all a little different but citizens of the same vast urban center and silhouetted against a beautiful sky.
What to make then, of the lone bird on his own on the lower level? Was he a rebel? A Loner? Did he dream of flying out to the suburbs or the country one day and having more space? There was just something about the little lone bird that appealed to me.
