Artist's Description
I have an ever growing list of places to return to some day and Capri was one of the earliest places to land on that list. A friend and I only took a day trip to Capri, a beautiful place I have glowing memories of but only a handful of pictures. With so little time, we literally ran across this island to get the most out of that short visit.
As we sat exhausted at the port that evening waiting for our ferry back to Sorrento, I took the photo on which this is based. The view of the city lights of Capri on the waters of the harbor were just perfect. So perfect and warm, like something from a dream rather than reality.
Whenever I need a reminder of why I want to see Capri again some day, I just look at this last moment before leaving the Marina Grande.
